Iranian President to fly to Dushanbe for the first time in mid-January
Iranian President Massoud Pezeshkian will make his first state visit to Tajikistan in the second half of January and will meet with Tajik President Emomali Rakhmon. This was reported by an Asia-Plus source in Tajikistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
According to the source, within the framework of the visit, in addition to the meeting of the leaders of the two countries, other meetings, negotiations and signing of a number of different documents are planned.
The delegation will also include a group of high-ranking Iranian businessmen who will discuss cooperation with their Tajik counterparts.
‘As part of the Iranian President’s visit to Tajikistan on 15-16 January this year, a large delegation of Iranian businessmen led by the chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry and representatives of Iran’s industry, mining and agricultural sectors will arrive in Dushanbe,’ the website of the Iranian Chamber of Commerce and Industry reported.
According to the source, the programme of the visit includes a business forum and B2B meetings with the participation of companies and officials of Tajikistan, visits to industrial and trade facilities, as well as a meeting at the Iranian Embassy.
In addition, ISNA news agency reports that a group of Iranian doctors will arrive in Tajikistan together with the delegation to exchange experience with their Tajik colleagues.
