Uzbekistan and Afghanistan discussed the development of cooperation

An Uzbek-Afghan business forum was held in Kabul on 17 August on the occasion of the Uzbek delegation’s visit to Afghanistan, Trend reported.

According to the information, Uzbek Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade Laziz Kudratov also took part in the event. The forum was attended by representatives of relevant ministries and departments, heads of industry associations and more than 500 representatives of the business community from both countries.

During the forum, promising areas of cooperation were discussed, such as expanding the range of goods subject to mutual trade, strengthening ties between manufacturers and exporters, intensifying business relations and increasing the number of joint business events and visits.

Within the framework of the forum, the exhibition ‘Made in Uzbekistan’ was held, which aims to increase the volume of mutual trade between Uzbekistan and Afghanistan to 1 billion US dollars. The exhibition showcased the products of 80 large Uzbek companies operating in the automotive, textile, jewellery, food, electricity, mining and pharmaceutical sectors.
