The joint exercise of the US and Georgian Armed Forces, scheduled for the summer of 2024, has been postponed indefinitely due to a review of strategic relations.
According to the Georgian bureau, a statement from the Pentagon said
“The United States has begun a comprehensive review of its strategic bilateral relations with Georgia. As part of this review, the United States will indefinitely postpone the Noble Partner exercise in Georgia, scheduled for 25 July – 6 August 2024,” the statement said.
The Georgian Ministry of Defence said that despite the postponement of the joint exercise by the US side, military cooperation formats will continue.
“The US Department of Defence and the Georgian Ministry of Defence have mutually beneficial defence and security cooperation formats. Despite the postponement of the exercises, the above-mentioned formats continue, including preparations for the multinational exercise ‘Agile Spirit-2025’,” the statement said.
