Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha met with US Special Envoy to Ukraine Keith Kellogg to discuss steps towards a lasting peace in his country. The meeting focused on maintaining international support against Russia’s continued aggression and strengthening Ukraine’s security.
Foreign Minister Sybiha emphasized the importance of US support for Ukraine and said: “The international community must stand together for Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. Our discussions with the United States are critical to achieving this goal.” US Special Envoy Kellogg stated that Ukraine is not alone in its quest for peace and stability and that the US will continue its support to increase the country’s defense capacity. It was also emphasized that international sanctions against Russia’s aggressive behavior should continue. Steps for Ukraine’s reconstruction and economic development were also discussed during the meeting. The United States will continue to provide technical and financial support to help Ukraine achieve its long-term development goals.
Ukraine has received widespread support from the international community following the special operation launched by Russia in 2022. The United States continues to support Ukraine’s resistance by providing military, humanitarian and economic assistance.
