Ukraine has received a €150m grant from the EU as part of the country’s reconstruction programme. Part of the funds, in particular, will be used to support critical infrastructure facilities.

As Report reports with reference to the Ukrainian media, this was announced by the Ministry of Finance of the country.

‘The European Union has sent €150 million to a special fund of the state budget of Ukraine in the form of a grant. The raised funds are the second tranche under the agreement between Ukraine and the EU on financing the programme ‘Support for rapid recovery of Ukraine’,’ the report said.

Of these funds, €65m will be used to provide school meals for primary schools, €50m to rebuild port infrastructure, €20m to support agriculture and €15m to rebuild critical infrastructure.

It is noted that this is the second and last tranche under this programme, the total amount of which is €300m. The first tranche was received by Ukraine on 20 December 2023.
