The Austrian Federal Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs hosted a meeting of the Turkmen delegation with Gerhard Sayler, Director of the Department for Russia, Eastern Europe and the South Caucasus, Eastern Partnership, Turkey and Central Asia, during which bilateral talks were held on cooperation perspectives.
As Trend reported on Thursday with reference to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, the main attention was paid to the areas of political, trade and economic, cultural and humanitarian cooperation between Turkmenistan and Austria.
The sides also discussed issues of cooperation within international organisations, including support for the candidacies of the two countries to elected bodies of the UN and other international structures.
The sides agreed to hold regular political consultations between the foreign ministries in the first quarter of 2025.
