Turkmenistan notified the EU of the ratification of the Protocol to the Partnership and Cooperation Agreement between the European Union and its member states and Turkmenistan.

As Trend reported on Tuesday with reference to the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Brussels, Ambassador to Belgium Sapar Palvanov officially handed over a note on Turkmenistan’s ratification of the Protocol to the Legal Service of the General Secretariat of the Council of the European Union.

It will be recalled that the Protocol was signed in Brussels on 18 March 2024.

The Protocol takes into account the accession to the European Union of such new countries as Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Croatia, Cyprus, Latvia, Lithuania, Hungary, Malta, Poland, Romania, Slovenia and Slovakia. This document is an important step in expanding the framework of cooperation between Turkmenistan and the EU.

The ratification of the Protocol was approved by the Assembly of Turkmenistan on 13 July 2024. https://www.trend.az/casia/turkmenistan/3933392.html
