According to the results of the first two months of this year, Kazakhstan is among the three main trading partners of Uzbekistan, whose mutual trade turnover exceeds $ 500 million, Trend reports from the Statistics Agency of Uzbekistan.
According to the agency, in January-February 2024, foreign trade turnover in the country amounted to $9.9 billion and increased by $940.3 million or 10.5% compared to the same period in 2023.
Uzbekistan today maintains trade ties with 151 countries of the world. China remains the country’s main trading partner, whose turnover with Uzbekistan is $ 2.1 billion (21.5% of the total). In second place according to this indicator is Russia with a volume of $1.76 billion (17.8%). Kazakhstan closes the top three with a trade turnover of $581 million (5.9%).
In the structure of the total trade turnover, Uzbekistan exported goods worth $ 166.2 million to Kazakhstan and imported goods worth $ 415.3 million.
