President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev received Liu Jianchao, Chairman of the International Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China. The meeting was held in the capital Nur-Sultan with the aim of further strengthening the strategic partnership between the two countries and deepening cooperation in various fields.
During the meeting, Tokayev emphasized the importance of friendly relations between Kazakhstan and China, noting that economic, political and cultural ties between the two countries are getting stronger every day. Tokayev emphasized the importance of developing cooperation, especially in the fields of energy, logistics and agriculture. The head of the International Department of the Communist Party of China, in turn, noted the importance of Kazakhstan’s strategic position in the Central Asian region and expressed that they will make efforts to further increase cooperation between the two countries. During the meeting, regional and global agenda items were also discussed, and the sides emphasized the importance of joint work to maintain peace and stability. It was also emphasized that the joint projects planned to be implemented between Kazakhstan and China will support economic development.
