The US company Mayman Aerospace has announced a new series of Razor drones designed specifically for military needs. These vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) drones are equipped with jet engines and artificial intelligence.
Razor’s developers highlight its unique features: its maximum speed reaches 800 km per hour, and its compact body allows it to carry a payload of up to 450 kg to a height of 6000 metres. This load can be medical supplies or Hellfire air-to-surface missiles. Thanks to its gimbaled jet turbine engines with variable thrust, the Razor can take off and land in a narrow three metre by three metre area.
Mayman Aerospace’s new product also includes the Skyfield AI software suite, which provides autonomous navigation, threat recognition and mission control. This artificial intelligence allows commanders to control up to a thousand Razors simultaneously, providing real-time data and threat assessments even without GPS.
