As part of preparations for the large-scale event, the delegation of the republic discussed with UNESCO representatives the prospects of cooperation.

Ahead of the 43rd session of the UNESCO General Conference in 2025, representatives of the Foundation for the Development of Culture and Art of Uzbekistan held meetings with the leadership of the organisation in Paris. This is reported by the press service of the Foundation.

During the talks with high-ranking UNESCO representatives, including Gabriela Ramos, Begoña Lasagabaster and Vera Lacoeuilhe, joint projects were discussed.

The organisation of the Beruni International Prize and the award ceremony in Samarkand took centre stage.

Preparation of an exhibition on the Great Silk Road, participation in the Youth Forum and discussion of the Report on the country’s readiness for AI technologies were also on the agenda. Special attention was paid to the promotion of Uzbekistan’s candidature to the Executive Board of UNESCO for the period 2027-2030.
