Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan will discuss issues of state borders with colleagues from Uzbekistan and Tajikistan, as reported on Tuesday Trend with reference to the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan
As noted, Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Adylbek Kasymaliev will meet with Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov and Prime Minister of Tajikistan Kohir Rasulzoda on 8 January this year. During the meeting, they will hold talks on the agreements reached earlier between the presidents of these countries on state borders.
The length of the state border between Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan is about 980 kilometres. Negotiations on its delimitation (defining the state border with a description of its passage and mapping) have been held since December 2002. On 4 December 2024, it was announced that the parties had completed the description of the common section of the border.
The Kyrgyz-Uzbek border is 1,314 kilometres long. On 27 January 2023, it was announced that the delimitation process had been completed.
