Economic achievements and plans for 2025 discussed in Tajikistan

Tajikistan’s Ministry of Economic Development and Trade hosted an event to analyzePresident Emomali Rahmon’s message to parliament.

Minister Zavkizoda Zavki Amin noted that the message is a fundamental guideline for the country’s long-term development and reforms. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Tajikistan. Among the achievements for 2024 stands out GDP growth of 8.4%, reaching 153.4 billion salmon, which is 2.2 times more than in previous periods. The population’s income this year tripled to 99 billion salmon. The average economic growth rate over the last five years has been 7.7%, and excluding the crisis year 2020, it was 8.5%. The 2025 target is to achieve economic growth of at least 8%. To achieve this, the ministry plans to use modern macroeconomic models and attract additional investments. It was also noted that $630 million in grants and affordable loans have been attracted to strengthen the economy.
