Consultations on the situation in the South Caucasus and Central Asia between representatives of the Russian and Iranian Foreign Ministries were held today in Moscow, the Russian ministry reported. They were attended by Mikhail Galuzin and Mojtaba Damirchilu.
Russian-Iranian inter-ministerial consultations were held today in Moscow, the details of the meeting were reported in the Russian Foreign Ministry.
The talks were held at the level of supervising department directors. They focused on the situation in the South Caucasus as well as in the Central Asian region.
Discussing Central Asia, Russian and Iranian diplomats emphasized the importance of ensuring stability in the region. In addition, the sides emphasized the great potential for cooperation with Central Asian countries.
The Russian Foreign Ministry further reported that Mojtaba Damirchilu, director general of the Foreign Ministry’s Eurasia department of Islamic Republic Mojtaba Damirchilu was received by Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin.
The diplomats had a confidential exchange of views on the most important regional issues of mutual interest. They also touched upon some topical aspects of the Russian-Iranian agenda and touched upon the schedule of interstate contacts that are to take place.
