Russian President Vladimir Putin and United Arab Emirates President Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan discussed the dialogue between Moscow and Washington on the settlement of the conflict in Ukraine.
“The leaders discussed the current Russia-US dialogue aimed at finding ways to peacefully resolve the Ukrainian conflict and normalize bilateral relations between Moscow and Washington,” the Kremlin said in a statement after a telephone conversation between the two heads of state. “Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan expressed support for the efforts of Russia and the United States, in particular he welcomed the consultations that took place today in Riyadh between the experts of the two countries,” the Russian Presidential Press Service said in a statement. Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President Donald Trump earlier launched a diplomatic dialogue to restore bilateral relations and resolve the Ukrainian conflict. As part of the process, Russia-US consultations are taking place today in the Saudi capital Riyadh, with the focus on the resumption of the Black Sea Initiative.
