Russia is ready to share its practices in the nuclear energy sphere with interested partners, President Vladimir Putin said at the meeting with Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Rafael Grossi.

Russia builds nuclear power plants under modern principles, the head of state said, citing the Kursk-2 nuclear power plant as an example. Small-capacity plants are under construction and the nuclear-powered fleet is being developed, and “a large floating power plant with the small capacity was set in the North,” the President noted.

“All that is in high demand not only in our country but is in demand with the economy and the energy sector of the whole world. And we are ready to share our practices with all the interested partners,” Putin stressed.

Russia is doing a fairly large amount of work at the international stage owing to help and support of IAEA and is implementing large-scale projects in many countries of the world, the President noted. “That’s why I said again about your help and support – because this is very important, without any exaggeration, at the planetary scale. I mean provision of safety and compliance with safety standards of the nuclear power sector across the globe,” the Russian leader noted.

“We are ready to continue working further in all these areas and I appreciate steps you have made to strengthen our joint work,” Putin added.
