Head of the Foreign Intelligence Service of the Russian Federation Sergey Narishkin paid an official visit to Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan.
According to APA, Narishkin took part in the international conference “Afghanistan: Regional Interconnectedness, Security and Development” held in Baku on April 17-18. During the visit, the head of the Russian Intelligence Service held talks with officials of Azerbaijan’s Foreign Intelligence Service and State Security Service. He also held talks with the heads of intelligence agencies of other countries. Speaking at the talks, Narishkin said that intelligence cooperation between Russia and Azerbaijan is developing dynamically and is carried out in a constructive, mutually beneficial and trusting framework. Narishkin emphasized that this cooperation serves to protect the national interests of the two countries.
