Russian President Vladimir Putin said that 2024 was a successful year for the Russian economy, emphasizing that the main economic indicators are in positive territory thanks tothe coordinated work of the government and business.
Gross Domestic Product (GDP) growth was between 3.9% and 4%, allowing Russia tostrengthen its position in the European economic arena. These results show that the countrycontinues to develop despite external challenges. Moreover, revenues from oil and gasreached about $14.6 billion in 2024, which is a significant achievement for the Russian economy. Revenues from other sources also showed growth: they increased by 26 percent, reaching $287 billion. This figure exceeded the initial expectations of the Russian authoritiesby about $9 billion. However, the President noted that despite the successful performance, some problems remain in the economy, such as inflation and high commodity prices. Putin stressed the importance of further work to stabilize the economy and support domesticbusinesses for sustainable growth and development in the future.
