Chinese President Xi Jinping met with Grenadian Prime Minister Dickon Mitchell in Beijing on Monday, highlighting China’s willingness to deepen bilateral cooperation with Grenada.
During the meeting, Mitchell extended condolences for the recent earthquake in Dingri County, Xizang Autonomous Region, to which Xi expressed gratitude, noting China’s swift and effective relief efforts and plans for reconstruction.
Xi emphasized the steady development of China-Grenada relations, grounded in mutual respect, political trust, and fruitful cooperation across various sectors. He affirmed China’s support for Grenada in exploring its development path and enhancing collaboration in areas such as new energy, low-carbon development, and digital economy.
China also pledged assistance in climate change response and Grenada’s economic development under South-South cooperation, advocating for global attention to the concerns of small island nations.
