A temporary base for the US military has been established in the village of Swietoszów in the Lower Silesian Voivodeship in south-western Poland.
According to the report, Brigadier General Dariusz Mendrala of the Polish Army spoke to the PAP news agency.
‘The base will also be designed for the rapid collection and receipt of supplies, adjustment of combat equipment before moving to the tactical assembly area,’ the general said.
The base will reportedly house up to 1,000 military personnel from the US and its NATO allies.
