The US company RTX (Raytheon Technologies Corporation) and the Polish company Huta Stalowa Wola have signed a contract for the production of 48 M903 launchers, which are part of the Patriot anti-aircraft missile systems.
According to the Report, citing TASS, the Ministry of Defence said in a statement
“The contract for the production of 48 M903 missile launchers was signed in the presence of Deputy Prime Minister Vladislav Kosiniak-Kamysz (Polish Minister of Defence) and Deputy Minister of Defence Pavel Beyda. “The document initiates the implementation of phase II of the Wisla programme [to build Poland’s long-range missile defence system] and the signing of contracts for the supply of further components with Polish manufacturers in the period 2027-2029,” the Polish Ministry of Defence wrote on the X social network. According to the head of the Republican Ministry of Defence, the value of the contract was $ 1.23 billion.
Earlier, Huta Stalowa Wola, under the RTX licence, produced 16 launchers for the two Patriot batteries already in Poland. In 2018, Warsaw signed a contract with Washington to purchase Patriot SAMs for the newly established Wisla national missile defence system. The US has also agreed to integrate Polish systems into the IBCS system, which enables the creation of an automated battlefield management system. https://report.az/ru/drugie-strany/polsha-i-ssha-podpisali-kontrakt-na-proizvodstvo-48-puskovyh-ustanovok-dlya-patriot/
