President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Chairman of the Turkmenistan People’s Council of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhammedov discussed issues of further expanding multilateral cooperation between the two countries. The two leaders emphasized the significant development of relations in the recent period and decided to deepen cooperation in economic, trade, cultural and humanitarian fields.
During the phone call, they discussed increasing the volume of trade between the two countries, implementing cross-border projects and strengthening cooperation in the field of transportation. The development of joint projects in the fields of education, science and technology was also on the agenda. President Mirziyoyev stated that Turkmenistan is an important partner for stability and development in the region and that bilateral relations should be further strengthened. Chairman of the People’s Council Berdimuhamedov said that friendly relations with Uzbekistan are developing day by day and this cooperation contributes to the prosperity of the peoples. The two leaders agreed that relations will be further strengthened through future high-level visits and meetings.
