Uzbekistan and Russia Sign New Agreements on Labor Migration

Uzbekistan and Russia have signed new agreements to increase cooperation in the field of labor migration. The signed documents cover issues such as protection of labor rights, social security of migrant workers and improvement of legal working conditions between the two countries.The Uzbek side noted that the agreements will allow citizens of the country to work in Russia in safer and fairer conditions. It was also stated that steps to increase the vocational training of migrant workers and protect their legal rights are also included in the agreements. The Russian side emphasized that cooperation with Uzbekistan is beneficial for both countries. Noting that Uzbek workers play an important role in Russia’s labor market, it was noted that the new agreements will facilitate the integration of migrant workers and strengthen the legal framework. These agreements signed between the two countries are expected to contribute to the creation of a more transparent and fair system, especially in the field of labor migration. This step is considered as an important development towards further strengthening bilateral relations between Uzbekistan and Russia.
