Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Energy and Russia’s Perm Territory will develop a roadmap for expanding co-operation, including industrial cooperation, education and science. These agreements were reached during talks between the Uzbek delegation and Perm Region officials, Trend reported.
The roadmap will promote the localisation of the region’s production facilities in Uzbekistan’s economic regions and support the supply of equipment for the country’s oil and gas industry, Perm Region Governor Dmitry Makhonin said.
‘It will help localise our production facilities in the economic regions of the republic and support the supply of equipment for the country’s oil and gas industry,’ Makhonin said.
Uzbek Energy Minister Jurabek Mirzamakhmudov also said that the signing of the roadmap will help increase mutual investments, strengthen trade ties and successfully develop joint projects in key sectors.
Mirzamakhmudov added that Uzbekistan is interested in supplying high-tech products and organising joint productions not only in the field of oil and gas, but also in the chemical and textile sectors.
‘Uzbekistan has created all the necessary conditions, including favourable treatment for enterprises in technoparks,’ the minister added.
The parties plan to sign the roadmap in the near future.
