On 5 September, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held talks with a Chinese delegation headed by Cheng Min’er, a member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and Secretary of the Party Committee of Tianjin city. The sides discussed issues of cooperation in the field of green energy, agriculture and trade and reached an agreement. This was reported by the press service of the President of Uzbekistan.
During the meeting, the sides discussed opportunities for strengthening and expanding bilateral cooperation. The politicians noted with satisfaction the high level of strategic partnership achieved in recent years.
Special attention was paid to the promotion of joint projects with leading companies from Tianjin. They discussed cooperation in such areas as green energy, agriculture, textile and pharmaceutical industries, trade and infrastructure modernisation. In conclusion, the parties agreed to adopt a roadmap to coordinate and implement the outlined projects.
