The Ministry of Agriculture of Uzbekistan announced that a meeting with Latvian experts was held at the Plant Quarantine and Protection Agency of Uzbekistan, Trend reports.
According to the information, the parties discussed the further development of cooperation between the two countries.
It was reported that the project “Improvement of the phytosanitary system to increase the export of products of Uzbekistan” funded by the Latvian government was launched.
It was noted that at the first stage, Latvian experts will conduct research and make recommendations on plant protection, soil analysis, fertiliser and other key issues for both countries.
One of the priority areas of cooperation will be scientific research aimed at exchanging experience between Uzbekistan and Latvia.
The parties agreed to organise regular visits of Uzbek and Latvian experts to exchange knowledge and experience.
