The portfolio of ongoing and prospective investment projects between Uzbekistan and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) amounts to 20 billion US dollars.
This was revealed at a meeting between Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the UAE delegation headed by Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defence and Crown Prince of Dubai Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed Al Maktoum, Trend reported on Friday.
The UAE delegation also included Minister of State Affairs Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Gergawi, Minister of Energy and Infrastructure Suhail bin Mohammed Al Mazroui, Minister of Economy Abdullah bin Tuq Al Marri, Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence and Digital Economy Omar bin Sultan Al Olama.
The two sides noted that trade turnover increased by 21 per cent in 2023, reaching $626 million. The meeting participants also discussed the further development of multilateral partnership, promotion of economic and investment cooperation projects, and practical interaction in the defence sector.
