Uzbek Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov announced that his country is considering the possibility of joining the Common Customs Transit System within the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU). This step demonstrates Uzbekistan’s determination to strengthen its regional trade and economic integration efforts.
In his statement, Aripov emphasized that cooperation with the EAEU is of great importance for Uzbekistan’s economic development and trade growth. Participation in the Common Customs Transit System could facilitate the country’s international trade and reduce logistics costs, he said. The Eurasian Economic Union is a regional economic organization that includes Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Armenia and Kyrgyzstan. Uzbekistan has been strengthening its relations with the EEU in recent years, actively participating in the processes of economic integration in the region. Experts believe that Uzbekistan’s accession to this system will not only increase the country’s export potential but also enable it to play a more active role in regional trade networks. In addition, this step is expected to contribute to Uzbekistan’s strategy to attract foreign investments.
