About a thousand troops from 12 NATO member states are taking part in exercises on Poland’s Baltic coast.
This was reported by the PAP news agency on Wednesday, Report reported, citing Interfax.
“About a thousand troops are taking part in the EURETEX 24 tactical exercise,” the report said.
“EURETEX 24 is a tactical exercise organised directly by Eurocorps every two years. This year, the 16th edition will be held at the Army Training Centre in the Dravsko-Pomorskie Voivodeship (located in northern Poland, on the Baltic Sea coast),” the statement said.
The two-week-long exercise will involve troops from Germany, Spain, Poland, Italy, Romania, Romania, Germany, Spain, Poland, Czech Republic, Denmark, Belgium, Hungary, Estonia, Lithuania and the United States) and Eurocorps headquarters.
During the exercise, soldiers will perform tasks such as military engineering, diving, explosive ordnance disposal, chemical and biological defence, and meteorology and oceanography, the agency said.
