The fourth political consultation meeting between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia and the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation was held on March 21 in Ulaanbaatar.
The meeting was chaired by Munkhtushig Lkhanaajav, State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia, and Maria Tripodi, Undersecretary of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation. During the talks, the sides exchanged views on the current political, social and economic situation of the two countries, as well as government policies and goals. They also discussed the celebration of the 55th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Mongolia and Italy with concrete content and results. The two sides reiterated their commitment to strengthen cooperation within the framework of the United Nations and other international organizations and held discussions on a number of international issues. The meeting was considered a positive step towards the development of bilateral relations and enhancing cooperation on common global issues.
