Kyrgyzstan-Tajikistan border agreement expected to be signed during Rahmon’s state visit to Kyrgyzstan

During Tajik President Emomali Rahmon’s state visit to Kyrgyzstan, a border agreement to resolve long-standing border disputes between the two countries is expected to be signed. The visit is of great importance for further development of relations between the two countries and regional stabilization.

Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan have occasionally experienced tensions in their border regions in recent years. However, both sides have shown determination to resolve issues through dialogue and negotiations. The border agreement, which is expected to be signed, aims to clarify the border lines between the two countries and ensure lasting peace in the region. In addition to the border agreement, Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov and Tajik President Emomali Rahmon will discuss trade, energy, transportation and cultural cooperation. The two leaders also aim to agree on strengthening regional cooperation and developing joint projects. In a statement released by the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry, the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry said Rahmon’s visit will be a historic step in strengthening friendly relations between the two countries and ensuring regional stability.
