Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov held talks with Chinese President Xi Jinping as part of his state visit to China.
The Chinese leader emphasized that the entire first month of the lunar calendar in the country is a holiday. And that Zhaparov is the first foreign leader he receives during this period. The two sides had a fruitful exchange of views and appreciated with great satisfaction the results achieved in relations since the signing of the joint declaration on comprehensive strategic partnership in May 2023. They reaffirmed their determination to maintain regional stability and promote development for the benefit of the peoples of Kyrgyzstan and China. Zhaparov stressed that China is not only a reliable partner but also an “inspiring neighbor” that shows an ideal combination of reform and development. In his opinion, the interaction between the regions is already yielding positive results. New factories are appearing in the regions of Kyrgyzstan, joint companies are being established, and projects in trade, engineering, logistics, transportation and e-commerce are being implemented. Xi Jinping, in turn, noted that Kyrgyzstan under Zhaparov’s leadership has chosen its own path of development, which meets national interests and is characterized by independence and uniqueness.
