Minister of Labor, Social Security and Migration of the Kyrgyz Republic Kudaibergen Bazarbayev met with the head of the Russian Federal Labor and Employment Service (Rostrud) and discussed issues of labor protection and labor rights.
During the meeting, opportunities for cooperation between the two countries in improving labor safety standards, preventing occupational accidents and protecting the rights of workers were discussed. Minister Bazarbayev noted that Kyrgyzstan is carrying out reforms in the field of labor protection and would like to benefit from Russia’s experience in this area. “Our cooperation with Russia is of great importance, especially in the areas of labor protection and labor rights. We want to increase the exchange of information and experience between the two countries,” he said. The head of Rostrud said that cooperation with Kyrgyzstan would be beneficial for both countries. He expressed readiness to carry out joint work to raise labor safety standards and reduce occupational accidents.
The issues of protection of the rights of migrant workers and social security were also discussed. In particular, the two sides agreed to strengthen cooperation mechanisms to ensure the rights of Kyrgyz citizens working in Russia.
