A meeting of the CSTO Permanent Council chaired by Kazakhstan was held on 10 January.
This is the first meeting of the Permanent Council in 2024, Trend reported on Wednesday.
Taking into account Kazakhstan’s presidency in the Organisation since 1 January this year, in accordance with the principle of rotation, Kazakhstan’s Permanent Representative to the CSTO Marat Syzdykov was elected Chairman of the Permanent Council.
A number of documents were considered at the meeting, including a draft action plan for the implementation of the decisions taken at the November (2023) session of the Collective Security Council and the fulfilment of the priority areas of activity of the Organisation during Kazakhstan’s chairmanship.
