President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev held a telephone conversation with the Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani.
During the conversation, the sides discussed the situation and prospects for strengthening bilateral cooperation in trade, economic, investment, cultural and humanitarian spheres, Trend reports with reference to the press service of President Tokayev.
Particular attention was paid to the effective implementation of the agreements reached during the state visit of the President of Kazakhstan to Qatar in February this year.
The Heads of State noted with satisfaction the positive dynamics of Kazakh-Qatari interaction and confirmed the mutual desire to further develop multilateral cooperation between the two countries.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev expressed hope to meet with Emir Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani during the SCO summit in Astana.
