First Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Roman Sklyar headed the delegation of the country.
The Kazakh-Tajik Investment Forum was held in Dushanbe on 21 August ahead of the visit of President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to Tajikistan.
According to the press service of the Kazakh government, the country’s delegation was headed by First Deputy Prime Minister Roman Sklyar, and the Tajik delegation was headed by First Deputy Prime Minister Hokim Holikzoda.
‘Roman Sklyar informed about the joint work carried out by the governments to expand the range of supplied goods, deepen cooperation in the field of industrial cooperation, increase mutual supplies of agricultural products,’ the press service writes.
The forum showed that both countries are ready to strengthen trade, economic and investment ties. Cooperation in the fields of metallurgy, agricultural projects, transport and IT was also emphasised. As a result of the forum, commercial agreements worth about $900 million were signed.
