Kazakhstan’s uranium shipments to China and Russia have hit a record high in recent months.
In the first 10 months of this year, the funds received from the export of processed uranium to Kazakhstan totalled $2.46 billion, APA’s Central Asia bureau reported.
Statistically, this figure is three times higher than last year. Analysts believe that this trend has peaked for the first time since 2015.
There was a significant increase in uranium exports from Kazakhstan to Russia. Thus, over the past 10 months, revenues from uranium exports totalled about $1.2 billion, an increase of 72% compared to the same period last year.
