Canada will actively assist Ukraine on its path to European Union membership and encourage international partners to provide similar assistance.
Canadian Foreign Minister Melanie Joly made this statement, APA quoted the CBC TV channel as saying.
Joly noted that Canada will support Ukraine on its path to European Union membership.
“We will continue to support Ukraine, we will push the Joe Biden Administration and the EU to continue to help Ukraine and to accept Ukraine into the EU because this is critical for Ukraine’s future,” the Canadian Foreign Minister said.
The diplomat emphasised that transatlantic and European security is at stake, stressing the importance of further support for Ukraine by all NATO member states.
