The foreign ministers of Japan and the United States met to reaffirm the strong and stable cooperation between the two countries. The talks were organized to address growing security concerns and international cooperation in the Asia-Pacific region.
The meeting took place between Japanese Foreign Minister Yoshimasa Hayashi and US Secretary of State Marco Rubio. Rubio said that the alliance between the two countries strengthens not only regional security but also global peace. For his part, Hayashi said that relations with the United States are central to Japan’s foreign policy. The meeting also revealed an agreement to expand bilateral defense cooperation and deepen technological partnerships. In particular, it was announced that cooperation on issues such as energy security, climate change and economic development will be increased.
