Japan has started to impose new sanctions against Russia. According to TASS, export restrictions will affect 57 companies.
In addition, the assets of 35 individuals and 43 legal entities will be frozen (if identified).
The blacklist includes two companies from the United Arab Emirates (UAE), one from Armenia, one from Syria and two from Uzbekistan, which, according to Japan, help Russia circumvent previously imposed restrictions.
Tokyo also recalled that the import of diamonds for non-industrial use will be banned from 2024.
The export restrictions towards Russia on 15 December apply to industrial, aerospace, defence, shipbuilding and research enterprises. These include the Urals Civil Aviation Plant, Aviation Plant (Ulan-Ude), Khabarovsk Shipyard, Vostochnaya Verf, Priboy Plant (Taganrog) and others.
The list of individuals and organisations whose assets will be frozen if identified has not yet been published.
