Informal meeting of the presidents of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan will take place

President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev will hold an informal meeting on 5 April.

This information came from the office of President Tokayev, Trend reports.

During the meeting in the city of Khiva, the two heads of state plan to discuss a wide range of issues related to the bilateral relations of the countries, as well as the regional agenda.

Recall that on 22 December 2022, Tashkent and Astana signed a treaty on allied relations. This agreement was ratified by Uzbekistan on 1 December 2023.

President Tokayev emphasised that relations between the two countries are at a high level and noted that relations between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan are an example of interstate relations.

The Presidents of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan also signed an agreement on the delimitation of state borders between the two countries.
