Ilham Aliyev accepted the Letter of Credence of the Ambassador of Belarus to Azerbaijan

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev received the letter of credence of the Ambassador of Belarus to Azerbaijan Andrei Rau. The ceremony took place at the Presidential Palace and mutual commitments were expressed to further strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries.During the meeting, the current level of cooperation between Azerbaijan and Belarus and future joint projects were discussed. President Aliyev emphasized the need to further develop economic, trade and cultural ties between the two countries. Ambassador Rau, in turn, expressed Belarus’ determination to expand its relations with Azerbaijan in all areas. During the ceremony, it was reminded that the two countries are in close cooperation on international platforms. It was stated that work will continue to implement joint projects, especially in the fields of energy, agriculture and transportation.
