Hungary continues to actively strengthen co-operation with Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan in various sectors.
‘Hungary and Uzbekistan are actively developing co-operation in various sectors, implementing ongoing projects and considering new initiatives. In agriculture, the focus is on livestock and food industry initiatives, and negotiations are underway on a potential poultry project with significant participation of Hungarian enterprises. The two countries are exploring partnerships in horticulture, dairy and fisheries, with a focus on skills and technology exchange. In the pharmaceutical industry, advanced joint ventures are being set up to produce cutting-edge medical devices. Hungarian companies are contributing to Uzbekistan’s automotive sector by supplying car parts, and there are proposals to create special economic zones to improve production and export prospects,’ he said.
The Ambassador noted the potential for Hungarian enterprises to participate in agricultural initiatives in Uzbekistan, highlighting strategic opportunities in poultry clusters and advanced food processing enterprises, and these initiatives are an integral part of an overall strategy to revolutionise Uzbekistan’s agricultural landscape and improve food production potential.
