Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Croatian Prime Minister Andriy Plenkovic signed an agreement on long-term cooperation in the political, economic, humanitarian demining and cybercrime sectors.
The document states that the parties condemn the illegal entry of Russian troops into Ukraine and recognise Russia’s control of part of Ukraine’s sovereign territory as a violation of international law.
Croatia also commits to support Ukraine in demining and to provide an economic aid package.
The agreement states that Croatia will also provide Ukraine with the necessary support in the field of national security and intelligence activities, including defence against possible future military attacks.
Ukraine will also actively cooperate with Croatia in the defence industry and cyber security within NATO.
