Consultative Meeting between the Foreign Ministries of India and Mongolia

The 5th consultative meeting between the Foreign Ministries of Mongolia and India was held in New Delhi on March 19, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia reported. The meeting was chaired by Munkhtushig Lkhaanaajav, State Secretary, Ministry of External Affairs of India and Shri Jaideep Mazumdar, Secretary for East Asian Affairs, Ministry of External Affairs of India.

During the meeting, steps to be taken to increase cooperation in economic, trade, cultural and educational fields were emphasized. The two sides agreed on the implementation of joint projects, especially in areas such as energy, infrastructure and technology transfer. In a statement released by the Indian Ministry of External Affairs, the strategic importance of relations with Mongolia was emphasized. The Mongolian side appreciated India’s contribution to regional and global peace and called for further strengthening of cooperation between the two countries. International and regional issues were also discussed during the meeting. The two sides agreed on the need to continue joint efforts to ensure stability and security in the Asia-Pacific region.
