Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze on Monday claimed a victory of theRepublican Party nominee Donald Trump in the United States presidential elections in November would “hasten the end” of the ongoing war in Ukraine.
Kobakhidze stressed it was “up to the American people” to decide who would be the President of the country.
“Of course, we cannot interfere in anyone’s elections, especially in the presidential elections of such a large country as the United States of America. This is not our business. The only thing that can be said is that if Trump wins the elections, the war in Ukraine will end sooner and, accordingly, our region will calm down sooner, which will change the attitude towards Georgia in particular”, he claimed.
