Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze has said that alternative ways to ensure international stability, energy and food security are becoming crucial against the backdrop of the global crisis.

He made the remark at the opening session of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) Board of Governors held on the sidelines of the 57th ADB Annual Meeting in Tbilisi, Azertag reports.

According to him, Georgia plans to cooperate more closely with partners to facilitate the laying of electricity and Internet cables along the Black Sea bed, ferry transportation and implementation of other projects.

The Prime Minister noted that Georgia is also interested in closer cooperation with partners in the Azerbaijan-European Union Green Corridor project, as well as in participation in such large-scale international transportation projects as the creation of East-West and North-South corridors.
