The head of Gazprom Alexey Miller and First Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Roman Sklyar held a working meeting as part of the St. Petersburg International Gas Forum.
Gazprom plans to supply three billion cubic meters of natural gas to Kazakhstan. This became known following negotiations between the head of the holding, Alexey Miller, and the First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Roman Sklyar, TASS reports.
The meeting of the parties took place on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Gas Forum. The result of the negotiations was a document on cooperation between Kazakhstan and Gazprom
“Alexey Miller and Roman Sklyar signed a strategic cooperation agreement. The agreement signifies development of cooperation in the field of supply, transportation and processing of natural gas, as well as its geological exploration and production” reports the Gazprom press service.
Miller and Sklyar also discussed in detail the current progress and prospects for cooperation in gas sector.
In January 2023, a bilateral roadmap was signed between Gazprom and the government of Kazakhstan, aimed to develop cooperation in the gas industry.
