The People’s Bank of China (PBOC) and the Central Bank of Sri Lanka renewed a currency swap agreement worth 10 billion yuan (about 1.39 billion US dollars) or 410 billion Sri Lankan rupees. The agreement will be valid for three years and can be extended by mutual agreement. The arrangement aims to strengthen financial cooperation between the two countries and promote trade and investment.
