Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov met with Secretary General of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) Isiaka Abdulgadir Imam. During the meeting, regional cooperation, economic integration and future activities of the organization were discussed.
During the meeting, steps to increase cooperation among ECO member states in the fields of trade, investment and transportation were discussed. Emphasizing the importance Azerbaijan attaches to regional cooperation, Bayramov said the ECO can contribute to peace and stability in the region. For his part, the ECO Secretary General appreciated Azerbaijan’s active role in the organization and praised the country’s contribution to regional development and integration processes. The two sides agreed to continue cooperation on future projects and joint initiatives. The Organization for Economic Cooperation is an organization that aims to strengthen regional economic cooperation and increase trade and investment opportunities among member countries. Azerbaijan actively participates in the activities of the organization and makes a significant contribution to regional development.
